SWI raises €800 million ($892.4m) in equity for data center and AI compute expansion in Europe and US
Euronext Amsterdam-listed SWI announced an €800 million ($892.4m) capital increase with institutional investors via new share issuance, bringing total equity raised since March 2026 to more than €1 billion ($1.1bn). Proceeds will support data center and AI compute capacity, including power infrastructure, compute deployments, and its development pipeline in Europe and the United States. SWI has about €11 billion ($12.27bn) in assets under management and recently acquired a majority stake in Genesis Digital Assets, which operates 15 data centers totaling 1.3GW in the US and Sweden.
Fresh equity for a platform spanning Europe and the US, with a 1.3GW acquired footprint to be renamed SWI Digital, signals continued capital availability for AI-oriented capacity and for repurposing existing power-connected sites.
