Fervo's Cape Station delivers first power, a first for utility-scale enhanced geothermal
The first 33 MW block of the 100 MW Phase I is online in Beaver County, Utah, with the remaining two blocks expected by January 2027 and a 400 MW Phase II targeted for 2028. Google signed a 396 MW PPA with Fervo on Sept 1, with an option for roughly 600 MW more.
Why it matters
Enhanced geothermal is now firm, clean power that data centers can actually contract, not a pilot.
